Every Little Thing

Are you one of those people that pay attention to every single detail? Or perhaps you are a big picture person and just get on with the vision and creation? We need both types of people in this multifunctional society, whose that excel with the details and ensuring every little thing is correct and perfect, and those who are visionaries, who can paint the canvas with creativity and passion.

or maybe you are both, and can toggle between both elements and get work done with precision and timing, how rare YOU are! A gifted individual.

You see we need to get the foundation right, to make sure we focus on the details and follow up, the visionary is paving the way, so then we have direction and mission. If you forget about those details or rush them to suit the bigger picture you are compromising the ultimate end, and it will not be what you really want, because you have compromised too much. It is now altered and you don't want that do you?

So when you begin any project, or create any goals, get excited you are heading forward and the journey is half the fun, so make sure you take time out, to see it from different angles. You will have obstacles because now you have a goal, embrace those obstacles and keep moving forward, with your smiling happy face...

Every little thing is a work of art, so enjoy doing it, as they say if your goal is to (insert your goal here) take one small piece at a time, like eating a big block of cheese, one bite at a time, other wise if you try to eat it all at once you will get a stomach ache and be out of action for a while..

It's all about your Journey, the destination is just the finishing line, saviour the experience and the learning. So take that next bite of the cheese and keep on going..

Procastination

As you decide to do something, you weigh the pros and cons, you begin to analyse all the different sides to it, to figure out if this works or not, if you come out on top or if you are really wanting to do it. Funny by the time you process all that, the opportunity could have passed you by.....

People procastinate all the time, a time waster, it's like having a really long commercial break, and you know how annoying this can be when you are glued to your TV program! Procastinating changes your energy of doing to "on hold" or "wait a minute I need to digest this" as the brain goes on the overdrive mode of "now lets break this down and figure out that this really means".

If you know someone like this, you need to work on your patience and keep doing your thing so you don't feel compromised all the time, after all you made a decision and happy to keep moving. If they need to take stock and ponder while you go forward, then let them be, that is their nature. If this really impacts you and your relationship then you need to discuss what specifically is going on for you. Be honest and talk from the heart, what do you really feel?

Taking time to make a decision, isn't necesarily bad, a good decision will come from it eventually, if you find yourself stopping your flow because of "hold on, this is new what does this mean?" and constantly stopping your work or your activity, or maybe this is preventing you from moving forwards, then you need to talk to a Success Coach, they want what you want, no judgement, so you can talk about what is happening to you and what the impacts are.

So next time you need to decide on something, on the fly, just surprise yourself and say YES!

It is all about YOU

As we began our yoga session today, I was one of 65 people doing the class, you couldn't fit another yoga mat in, it was amazing. Our teacher began with giving us permission to just be selfish and be ourselves. This he said was the most important thing, to be in the moment to feel our bodies and to listen to feedback.

I was five rows back today, a rare occasion as I am normally up front close to the mirror so I can correct my alignment, today all I could see were the tops of the heads, and mine perched way back, so I surrendered to being there and smiled, it was going to be a great class I thought.

This is all about YOU, I kept chanting as I flowed in and out of poses, breathing, feeling, breathing and understanding what my body was saying to me. The teacher was brilliant, he did not care how deep we went into the pose he just wanted us to listen to our bodies, " we hear all the time but do we really listen" he went on. Yes I could relate to that and I kept my ears focused on the now as he deliberately changed the pace of the class to hold a pose a little longer or keep one short, he navigated through the class and he also stopped the class to give some great feedback to the class as a whole. I could sense some people getting fidgerity, I had surrendered long ago, and listened to what he had to say. I took it on board to do just that in the second set, yes it had a diferent sensation.

At the end of the class I had an overwhelming feeling of gratitude and completion, I was one with me, with my energy, my sweaty body a sign of happiness and humility.

Yoga is like life you know, we have highs and lows, we are flexible and then if we listen to our bodies, some times it is not, we let go of any attachment when in the class and see what eventuates, life is like this too, if we get caught up with "the end result, and anticipating that feeling" we pre-empt our thoughts and our expectations and this can lead to disappointment. Better yet, why not just let it go, and just see what happens? Magic may result.

So as I walked out of the hot yoga class, I felt like I had shed a layer of skin, I was new, rejuventated and ready to get on with my day.

thanks Teacher,

Total Transformation

As you know working on yourself is a life long journey, it is not a race, it takes time to uncover your layers and to understand what you truly want and create your perfect day. Working on the inside is like understanding the inner you, your inner child, being kind to yourself, and to have a self awareness of you and the external world. This is transformational stuff, and it can take a while to begin to uncover the real you. When we work on the inner beliefs and how we relate to the world, we create our reality, through thoughts, emotions and perception.

Some people factor in, how will others see me? what do they think? If you are like this, this is a recipe for confusion, stress, and putting others first before yourself. Sure be altrustic, that is noble, however also see your transformation for what it is and what it means to you, and not for the external gratification, this will only give you short term benefit, and long term heartache.

When you are learning more about yourself, and you have reached a stage of heightened awareness, an image consultant can come in handy. They help you transform on the outside, the external and make your internal work more congruent and longer lasting. You are a new person, so why not update your image too? It is a fun process and gives you more confidence with self. You may just surprise yourself and learn more ways of attracting the right people in your life.

When you are happy on the inside will you shine on the outside, remember changing outfits and buying new clothes is a temporary measure for self fulfillment, you need to work in the inner first, and then your outer shell will sparkle.

Flow

People in their element do it, musicians, actors and public speakers are doing it. Also athletes and craftsmen are in the state of doing it. Let's not forget the people meditating, deeply and freely.

What do they have in common? Is that they are all in a state of FLOW. Time is irrelevant and spatial awareness does not tick tock. They are so absorbed in their task at hand that they are focused on the NOW, the present time. As past and future does not exist when you are in the now, you are totally present to all that is, the energy, the doing, and you wonder how did all that time fly?

Being present is so important, you see things, really see them with their finer detail, you remember details as you engraved them in your thoughts. You become conscious of your breathing or another close by, the wind, those feelings and the sensations of just being.

I feel this when I am in this state of flow, nothing can interrupt me, ok maybe the phone ringing!, however being present and in this feeling state I am transported into what is important to me at that time, and all my focus and energy goes to it. It is a great feeling being conscious and mindful.

If you wonder how you can improve your memory, it is simple, just focus on what you need to remember, peel the layers so you can absorb it, build associations with other things that can relate to it. Then you will find it in your memory when you need this information.

Your brain is like a catalogue and all you need to do is find a system for it, then you can retrieve things easily. Just picture it, and you will find it.

So the next time you are in a state of flow, smile, someone could be looking at you and wondering how you do it.

Confidence Shines

Today has been a day for connecting, I emailed an old work colleague and she is a rare gem, beautiful soul, patient, very caring and intelligent. Yet she feels that she is not confident enough. She is simply working a job she is no longer passionate for and feels that there are not enough jobs out there, thus her security equals this job.

If we function from a place of "lack, or not enough" this is what becomes our reality, if we feel doing this job is as good as it gets, then we are just living a complacent life and that becomes our reality. Only through courage and confidence we can get to the next level in our lives, we want more don't we? So make a list of what you want and then start changing your reality, if you sit there and count the hours til home time, you are wasting your day aren't you?

Be honest with yourself, this is YOUR life and you need to be living it at 100% anything less is just a compromise at what could be? If only?

Being confident comes from your heart, feeling good about what you do, and not being embrassed about what your talents lie, if you excel at something GREAT. This builds confidence. If you worry about what others think, well this will keep you in a protective environment and you will not grow. With growth comes learning and experiencing life the way you really want to, all out and smiling at everything you do.

So let your confidence Shine....

10 Tips of Attraction

1. Unhook yourself from the past or future
The law of attraction works in the present state not in the past or future. So be in the NOW, if you find yourself having a wandering mind, simply come back to your breathe and be mindful of the present.

2. Add value for the joy of it
When you add value because you are enjoying it, people are naturally attracted to you or what you are doing. Be true to yourself and others will flock towards you. By giving to others what they want, you get what you want.

3. Market your skills and talents
Be confident with what you do, and let others know what your strengths are. If you are shy and reserved or embarrassed about what you do well, you won’t be very attractive. So be proud and show it.

4. Become attractive to yourself
As they say, you need to love yourself first before others can love you. Very true. If you want to attract others then you need to feel attractive to yourself, and nurture your soul, spirit, body and your mind. Do what you feel is necessary to keep you on this level of vibration, and others will be in awe of you.

5. Over deliver what you promise
When you are consistently delivering more than what is expected, new customers are drawn to you. Give as much value as you can, then people feel like they want to be around you, or purchase your products/services.

6. Meet your personal needs
If you have unmet needs, you will attract other people like that. So if you need to work on your own personal needs, like for example: liking your own company, doing things on your own, feeling secure with the unknown. If you don’t work on it, you will attract people similar to you, so it is time you met your needs.

7. Orientate yourself around your values
Like attracts like, so be clear on what is important to you and what your values are. Then when you spend your time doing what fulfils you, you attract it in your life.

8. Have a vision
What do you really want? When you have a vision you can see what is up ahead and you attract those people and opportunities to come towards you. As you visualise it happening to you, it starts to manifest in your experience.

9. Show others how to please you
Communicate your needs and wants, it is not a mind game, having people second guess your needs or desires is not conducive to attracting what you want, so show others how to please you, then they know how to act.

10. Be selfish
Without you, there is nothing and attraction isn’t possible. So do what you need to do. Be in alignment with your values and do not worry about what other people think. That is out of your control. Just be YOU and live to your purpose, everything else will follow.

Sense of Belonging

I saw the most inspiring, funny, touching movie yesterday "As in Heaven" It was one of those movies that simply takes you in, you go along with the main character "Daniel" he smiles and you follow suit. You find yourself letting go and become an observer to his journey, his fears, his jubilation, his triumphs, bike escapades and above all you fall in love with the people around him, all unique as he says "we all have our unique tone/sound". Its about a choir you see!. How appropriate. Some characters were simply living, existing, and Daniel began to bring out their unique qualities, self awareness, confidence a place to be accepted, to belong and to grow..

His mission was to open the hearts of people through music. He let go of his past, embraced his fears and opened his own heart and only then did others become open to him. In turn he attracted that and they too became more open and honest in the process.

Sure I shed the occasional tear, most of the packed audience did too, you could not help it as you were drawn into the experience.

This reminds me of life and what people are like before they peel the layers of 'stuff' which is holding them back, and only when you are honest with yourself and open minded that you start to manifest something new, something you want.

If you get to see it or catch it on DVD I recommend it highly, its a beautiful, emotional movie. Make sure you have your tissues close by.

Lost In Translation

Do you ever wonder if sometimes you are fully understood? You know that feeling when you are in discussion with someone and you feel the rapport is there, all great and then all of a sudden you get a blank stare. You wonder if you said something inappropriate or did you misinterpret what they said?

Communication isn't just the verbal, it is a combination of verbal, non-verbal cues i.e body language and some would argue also what the environment around you is doing, as this can aide or hinder your communication. You are in a noisy pub, or on a sail boat, with winds gushing all around you.

Well yes our words can be misunderstood, as with body language, what does showing interest look like? Playing with your hair, pointing your feet to that person etc, or is it simply looking at them constantly as you can sense they need reassurance. For a person from many Asian countries, looking at them constantly is not an appropriate action, as this invades personal space. Unlike someone from Latin America if you look at them, that is ok, as they don't have a boundary around this.

So what I'm trying to say is simply, that everyone is different and our communication styles are different. If you find yourself being challenged at work or in your personal style and for the life of you, don't know what you are doing wrong. then come and talk to a Success Coach. We are great at decoding communication and making you feel understood.

Greener Pastures

When do you know when you have made it? When you have everything in your life? You have the lifestyle, the ideal house, it's decorated and perfect. Your dream car sits in the driveway and you have all the gadgets you only dreamt of years ago.

You have a wonderful partner who is your soul mate in everyway, and you have great friends and work colleagues. Is this when you say "I have the perfect life!" or is this when you say, "if only I had.... a better (whatever!)" It is interesting how many would have the latter attitude as they are always looking to improve something in their lives, the grass is greener on the other side.

These people cannot settle with the now it is always about tomorrow and what else is missing to make them complete. What if today was THAT perfect day? and this is as good as it gets?

Imagine for a minute that your life is perfect just the way it is? and that there will always be things we want and attain, however we stop and enjoy what is around us and the people in our lives, we savour those moments, drink them in and feel complete by the experience.

Then you realise that you are on the other side and it's a perfect shade of green on your grassy patch.

If you are looking for contentment and finding it difficult to slow down and savour those special moments, I invite you to contact a life coach and they can shed some light into your world.
