Seminar Junkie

Can somebody be a seminar junkie? You know going to as many seminars that their credit card will allow, and then realising that they need to attend more seminars as those ones were good but they did not have the magic answer for them.

Yes I have known a few people like this, personally I think you are your best investment and if you need to source out seminars/workshops to improve yourself at whatever level that is FANTASTIC . This improves your thinking and you are surrounding yourself with other people in a similar position. All good.

However it is imperative to walk the talk. To do SOMETHING at the end of each seminar, apply a strategy, a tool a new learning so you have put it into application in your life. Unfortunatly pure seminar junkies are too busy moving to the next seminar to enjoy the last one and to really let that integrate.

So how about you take a breather and let that last seminar soak in.. into your unconscious and make a mental list of what you are doing that is different, get a coach. They will keep you accountable and be seriously honest with yourself. Only then you will see your truth and move towards your goals.

I am still bathing in the knowledge of my last seminar, it is a wonderful feeling to know I am no longer the old Paola, but a newer version, my ideal version of me!

What is Your Programming?

Sometimes we are fear driven and this is because we fear not having. Not having a successful business, career options, not having a wonderful family. This is where we place our energies and wonder why our goals still elude us.

Another example is money. Do you focus on what you don’t have or not having enough? For your holidays, for your current bills for experiencing new things? You are coming from a place of lack and this is fear driven you are being motivated by moving away from pain. You may want to have an abundance mentality however your programming stops you. You are still functioning in a way that takes you to the scarcity thinking.

To have true success programming you need to realign your programming to move towards pleasure, abundance, and manifest more into your life. Manifest more of the good things in your life: Career, Relationships, Financial, and more time for you to have down time.

After all you need to recharge yourself to be in your optimum level to bring this into your existence.

What are your Options?

It is a fabulous day, the sun is warm and spring is finally making its' way to Sydney.. I was watching our neighbours'cat this morning as it climbed up the tree (as a cat does!) and wondering how it got up so high.. And then it just sat there contemplating his next move where to place his paw so he would be balancing on the tree..

As he got to the top, you could see that he was gloating and very pleased with his efforts, and then he looked down.. it was a few meters 5/6 from the ground..

And he pondered and pondered, 2 hours later he was still up there..

This made me realise that we are always sizing up our Options, whether we are going this way or that, doing this or not. Are we going to committ or not, options are always present in our daily path. We are constantly revaluating decisions and where we are in that moment in time.

If you are feeling that you have no options, think about what you are feeling. Sometimes if we are too emotional about something, we may be clouding our ability to see the options, because they are always there, we are just too caught up with our emotional state.

I can relate to that! and I am reminded of the cat, paralysed, perched on the tree, wondering what to do next...

And so as he sat there for close to 2 hours the sun kept shining on his soft coat and he made a decision to free himself from his confined environment, after all he got himself up there in the first place..

So he can get himself out.

Who You Become is determined by...

As I flick the pages of my latest read by Deepak Chopra I am opening my awareness and my level of understanding. I have heard that Oprah Winfrey, as a child used to be totally absorbed by the books she read and it literally opened her world and what existed from her reality. She was inspired to become more than her current reality and to do things no one ever imagined possible.

She is an inspiration for people everywhere. In alignment with this, I have also heard that who we become is determined by:

1) the books we read

2) the seminars we attend

3) the mentors in our lives

4) the coaches we surround ourselves with

These are not in any order and sure there are aspects from our family unit and environment. However often times these could lead us to have limiting beliefs about ourselves so with mentors/coaches/seminars and books this serves to open our awareness and challenge those beliefs. So as a consequence we find ourselves living a more authentic and balanced life.

So next time I pick up a book, I will think about what is the lesson for me to learn...

Happy reading

Living A Rich Life

I always thought to live a rich life, I needed to compromise and work in an office for somebody else, and not ask for much. Not be too selfish, be average and do the right thing. It did include having a wonderful husband, 4 weeks holiday a year, and having children to re-populate myself.

That was my way of thinking for a LONG TIME, well becoming a Life Coach stopped that in its' tracks!

I did meet the man of my dreams, he also was ok with being ok, once we started on the path of personal development, we realised many of our paradims were limiting to us and future generations, we were capping ourselves with the ordinary. We made a pact to pursue our passions and grow ourselves, to be challenged, to stretch to share and to live the IDEAL LIFE.

So with my new found enthusiasm over our last weekend's course BTS, I would like to share what Chris mentioned as living a rich Life:

1) Doing what you LOVE

Yes if you truly are not happy in your current job, isn't it time you pursued something else? Sure you may have financial obligations, most of us have too, just ensure you are gradually moving towards your passions and not towards more job dissatisfaction.

2) Being Rewarded Magnificently

Imagine doing what you love and getting paid handsomely! Yes it is possible, how you value your time and your talents, market yourself and be the magnet you need to be to attract those opportunities and resources.

3) Attitude of Gratitude

You may have heard this in your readings, The Secret, seminars and it is true. Be grateful for what you have and what has come to you already. If you have this feeling and sincere thoughts of what has already come to you, more will come. So say THANK YOU

4) Contribution

No man is an island, wise words. You can do so many things to share your gift/work, doing things with the community, school groups, interest groups. If you pay it forward you will get this wonderful feeling of connection and being in tune with your neighbour. Share the energy of you.

So as we ended Sunday evening, I held my husbands' hand and realised that I am one LUCKY person to have such a blessed life and our life is PERFECT, we are on the path of inner richness..

Be Your Best..

At the Christopher Howard seminar over the weekend, one theme really made an impact. He said to treat yourself like an Olympic Athlete. Yes that is right, be the best and expect the best. It is like you need to treat yourself so you can be at your peak each day. Have coaches/mentors around you so you are always growing.

Some things are non negotiables like he said. If you hold yourself to a higher standard, then this will be your reality and you can attract what you deserve and desire. Imagine if you eat poorly and eat take-away food, you are not really putting good nutrition in your body temple, you are not respecting your body, so you may get health issues. Not treating yourself like an athlete are you?

This is also true with relationships, if you are not holding yourself to a higher standard then you will attract people that you may consider are not at your level, and they are the wrong types for you. Something to think about.

This goes for all aspects in your life, your health, career, relationships, finances, spirituality, etc, etc.

So be the BEST you, your ideal you everyday..... let yourself shine..

Upgrade Your Thinking

It is easy to stay the same, to do the same things everyday, be in routine.

As I'm sitting in the seminar room for Christopher Howard's Breakthrough to Success this weekend, I am definitely doing something new.

I want to upgrade my thinking, and get to the next phase in my life, whatever that is! Looking around the room there are many people like me, I am not unique. We all have issues we want to tackle head on, our relationships, our careers, our finances.. yes by upgrading our thinking we will have more resources and tools to get there.

I am EXCITED, as I know I am in the right place and can feel things starting to change at the unconscious level, my level of uncertainty over this weekend is no more. I know I have made the right decision to be here and learn.

It is interesting that we all want MORE out of life now, not happy just being 'complacent' we ask and deserve MORE, yes believe it..

I Do, so pick up that book, research something new on the web, google something that will upgrade your thinking and get you to your next level. After all we are sorting things in our neurological patterns, and if you introduce something new, you have a new choice to make.

The old way or this new way!

Have fun building new pathways...

Settle For More

Most people are just comfortable. They have a job, home a relationship and all is OK. Days just roll into the next and life is effortless. They are compliant and watch TV most evenings to relax from the office mentality.

Life is easy. Most people live like this, life has no surprises and they like their routine. There is nothing wrong with this picture, no judgement. This could be enough for most people..

And then there are the achievers/dreamers/enterpreneurs...

They crave more, they are challenged by life and take the bull by the horns. They are passionate about each day and creating it the best way they can.. They are the ones who laugh louder than children in the playground. They are the ones looking up in the sky, reaching high.

These get-up-and-go people are driven to have MORE...

More: quality time, more abundance, more freedom, more connection, more work/life balance.

It is wonderful that we have a blend of people out there, the dynamos and the constant workers, we need both in our society, both serve a purpose.

Which one are you?

Leave Your Ego

We are so attached to ourselves sometimes that we happily take our ego everywhere with us, even to places that need some kind of restraint. The ego can be our friend and sometimes it works against us as we aim to have it our way or no way! Letting go would be good to practise here and to just 'be' , this is a little harder than it sounds. As we need to trust whatever is around us and the people that are in our company, forcing an issue will not win friendships in the long run, you may win a few arguements. However what is your ultimate outcome?

To be always right? (in your opinion) or to share with others?

There lies the difference.

This is also true when you exercise, if you are going in with your ego, you will be looking at it from a different perspective as if you were doing it for awareness, fun, or being truely present. As the ego cannot exist when you are mindful and just being in the moment, you are not ego-driven for your beneficial outcomes.

Interesting isn't it?

I remember this each time I go to yoga, it is just about my body and being at peace with it, not forcing it to do things like a human pretzel! Or if I have gone there before making it happen again, my body needs to be willing to go there with no pain and no forcing.

After all life is not a race, in my opinion anyway!

So have fun and remember to leave your ego at the door...

CommonSense

I am sure many of you have heard the expression "just use commonsense" I used to think this was a silent code of some kind as I was not taught this at school, and as English was not my first language I gathered that most definitely I had lost something in translation!

Today I am wiser, well I like to think so, this is my hallucination anyway! and I can almost understand it when someone says, 'just use your commonsense'' , well it really depends what is my point of reference and according to whom? You see for one person it would seem natural to do it a certain way, for example put in the tea bag before you pour hotwater, for others the hotwater goes first! Yes that is a tiny example however I hope you understand where I am heading.
Commonsense is just a word to say do it my way, or how do you think I would do it! Or how would most people do it, again this is open to interpretation. So tread with caution when you are asked to use your commonsense because if they have said this, then in a way they are implying that you are not using any to this point!

Again according to whom? and what specifically?

Fortunately commonsense is not taught at schools, this is where the individual beings to harness individuality and creativity especially with problem solving and gaining confidence.

That just makes sense to me I guess, if you would like to discuss I welcome any feedback

buenas noches

Soldier On..

Sometimes our bodies need a rest. We are so used to pushing them to the limit, more productivity at work, home life is busy and social life is buzzing. That we forget to take time out for yourself, to reflect and ponder what is..

We are fast approaching burn-out and perhaps potential health problems as we keep at this turbo rate. We just soldier on and expect others to keep up and be with the program.

Most of us cannot maintain this pace infact the body will shut-down and tell you that you need to 'chill'. The flu during winter acts as a long commercial break for your body, forcing you literally to catch your breathe and smell the roses.

What is the rush anyway?

If all you do is DO this and DO that you are in future focus and never catch up. It is like you are on a mouse trap and all you really do is go around in circles madly tying to out-run the machine.. Imagine that!

So my message today is to just RELAX, take 10 mins in your day to just BE and daydream about being calm and centered. Just imagine yourself on a hammock reading your favorite book, a place where time is not relevant.

Have fun

Never Give Up

When you get to the end of the road, you feel like giving UP
However this is when the real journey begins to keep going and create more road, as you are not satisfied with your current status.
This is the point where you find more resources deep inside you and become even more determined. After all you have not hit your goal yet.

Take some time out to reflect on your current state and brainstorm new ways of creating that road, you may need support doing this. All it is strategising what you can do and keep focus on your ultimate prize.

To share with you, this is exactly where I am today. At the end of one road and now building more resources, determination, courage to pave a new road, as I am not there yet... And I know I am worthy of the prize. I visualise it everyday and I feel the feelings of already having it, hold it in my arms. It is so real to me that I have it in so many levels except in the physical form.

That is the last step of our goal......

So I am not giving up, my journey is not complete, and I feel more empowered today knowing that I have options, resources, support. My dream is still alive and I know with every fibre of being that it will take more time than originally thought, however I will get there.

Never Give UP
