In a country were people don't really boast about their accomplishments or talents you still need to market yourself. In business and in your personal life you need confidence to radiate. Some may refer this as going too far as you share with others what your experience is and what you have done. This is not so in an job interview for example. You need to share this information to find out if you are suited for the role.
If you start a business you need to REALLY believe in your achievements and what you can accomplish, confidence will take you there.
And yet we have some close friends bringing us down, to mediocre level, remember you do not need to accept this as like living in this abundant universe many like to tear you down and not allow yourself to shine. In Australia they call this the 'Tall poppy Syndrome" and people thus stay put incase they get ahead of others.
Silly in my opinion, why hide in the corner and down-play your wonderful accomplishments?
If you are confident in your skills and talents, others will be attracted to you, so by all means. Shine as bright as you can..
Because only then you allow others to do the same.
